La polvere del tempo / 2008
A, regista americano di origine greca, si reca a Cinecittà per ridare il via a un film di cui aveva improvvisamente interrotto le riprese senza fornire spiegazioni. Il film racconta la storia di Eleni, sua madre, che nella vita ha amato due uomini ed è stata a sua volta riamata nonostante la vita e le vicende politiche l'abbiano in passato separata a lungo da loro. Gli eventi che hanno segnato la seconda metà del Ventesimo Secolo, a partire dalla morte di Stalin, vengono rivisitati con trasferimenti nel tempo e nello spazio. Si passa dal Kazakistan alla Siberia, dall'Italia alla Germania agli Stati Uniti. Si tratta di un flusso di ricordi che si fanno presente mentre la vita di A. è turbata dalla separazione dalla moglie e dalla scoperta del dolore che attraversa l'animo della figlia adolescente.
