This work is based on Chapter One of Hans Christian Andersen’s The Snow Queen.The original text depicts a disaster brought about tools and technology.There is a connection between this theme and nuclear power plant accident that occurred in Japan in 2011. I attempted to create a new form of animation film through an interleaving depiction of the original story and a real accident.
Fragments Untitled #6 / 2022
The two best football teams of Yugoslavia met at the Maksimir Stadium in Zagreb on May 13, 1990. The match was never played. Fragments untitled #6 vivisects media footage of the event. The film is part of Fragments untitled ongoing serial of works through which Doplgenger researches the politics of media images that participated in creating the historical narratives of Yugoslavia in the period of 1980-2000., especially media images that performed the pretext to the Yugoslav Wars and the breakup of Yugoslavia. Fragments untitled is based on the private archives of citizens who recorded the TV schemes in the 90s. At the same time these are the images that refer to the contemporary age.

Truths about the victims’ fates faded away, which is why a Finnish forensic research group led by Helena Ranta got a mission to act as an unbiased agent and investigate the real course of events.

The film reconstructs the memories of a divorced family with empathy yet merciless precision. An intimate family story emerges during the investigation into the reasons for the separation. Hinging on the subtle and touching testimonies of the family members, the film delves into complex interrelationships. Actors bring the family's memories alive as if they were their own. The result is a chronicle of a family drama, which the real protagonists complement and comment on – a reflection on the mechanisms and dynamics shaping and directing their family life over the years.
7+1 Fragments / 2022
An anthology of 7 different women in 7 different worlds with 7 different colors, as well as their remarkable experiences. Self-Reflection and Re-reflection, feeling of the moment, broken lines, unclosed and resumed forms, this is the different situations in 7+1 fragments that appear next to each other - even inside each other. 7+1 Fragments consists of 7 fragments, each with a female narrative with different characters and different colors, forms, and different Moments, which meet each other in the eighth (last) fragment.
Gestures and Fragments / 1983
"Essay on the Military and the Power", a phrase that also belongs to the title of "Gestures & Fragments", sums up the spirit of the film, based on three points of view on the same theme: Otelo Saraiva de Carvalho and Eduardo Lourenço, in their own roles, and the one played by Robert Kramer, as an American journalist bent on seeking explanations for the process of the Portuguese Revolution.

In a building site, a worker agonizes, after an accident, and tells his son about the virtues of honest work, but he's not heard. Turned into a vagabond and having mean people as company, the youth decides to get arrested in order to find a solace against winter. When he finally decides to follow his father advice and get himself a job, he falls under the influence of a policeman, under the false accusation of robbery.
Daniil Dondurey: Fragments / 2018
This film was shot during the last year of Daniil Dondurey’s life in Moscow and Tel Aviv, where he was receiving treatment. Dondurey’s monologue is broken up by city landscapes, the animated buzz of a café, the silence of an emptied dacha… Dondurey talks about his pursuits, encounters, and tastes; he recalls his student years in Leningrad. He jokes, smiles, and hopes.
Potential fragments of work to unfold, fractal and cyclical / 2019
In his short film series ‘24 portraits’, Alain Cavalier records women who have dedicated their lives to manual work, collecting images and testimonies from a world of work in danger of extinction through close-ups of faces, hands, gestures and objects. The short takes up the idea of the registration of manual work and its representation, but within artistic production. Here we can see the actions, methods and ways of seeing of Ana, an artist who is in the initial moment of creating new works.

Istvan Bibo's Fragments / 2002
Peter Forgacs' Bibo Breviarium (Istvan Bibo's Fragments) is a look at Istvan Bibo, one of the most revered Hungarian philosophers and politicians of the 20th century. The images in the film consist of found footage from the man's life, while the audio consists of an ongoing monologue that alternates between biographical information on the man and quotes from his writings. Paul Merrick performs the narration on the English translation of the film.
