My moving image work experiments with text, image and sound to create an experiential space—a kind of ontology—within which subjectivities and bodies as totalities don’t exist and connections and hierarchies are continuously undone and remade. Subjective experience exists as a dialogical and rhetorical relationship, as something scattered in time and space, emerging and disappearing, resisting language and definition. These works describe the complex, fluctuating, and interdependent relationships between living and non-living entities—relationships that defy linearity and boundaries. My practice is grounded in refusal and resistance to closed definitions and categories such as self/other, human/animal, interior/exterior, living/non-living and in a commitment to an inherent failure to gain knowledge of ourselves and others as the place from which ethics emerge and evolve.

Dusty Springfield is Britains greatest ever pop diva and the possessor of one of the finest and most soulful voices of all time. She dominated both the UK and US charts throughout the sixties with a string of hit singles that have stood the test of time as true classics. Originally a member of the folk trio The Springfields, from whom she took her stage name, she became a solo artist in 1963 after being exposed to the magic of Motown whilst playing in America and became probably the finest ever white soul singer. Diagnosed with breast cancer in the mid-nineties she died in 1999 at the age of just 59. This concert, recorded at the Royal Albert Hall in 1979 in the presence of HRH Princess Margaret, captures Dusty at the height of her career. The show is packed with hits (including 9 UK top 10 singles), which are delivered with all the glitz and panache that were Dustys trademark and have made her a major gay icon as well as beloved of music fans everywhere.

Dusty Springfield: Once Upon A Time 1964-1969 features 20 complete songs filmed from 1964 to 1969 and has all of her greatest hits and more. Included on the DVD are her early classics 'I Only Want To Be With You', 'Wishin' And Hopin" and 'I Just Don't Know What To Do With Myself' as well as timeless hits 'Son Of A Preacher Man', 'The Look Of Love' and 'You Don't Have To Say You Love Me.' In between the performances, Dusty's story is told through new interviews with Burt Bacharach, singer Madeline Bell (who sang back-up for Dusty in the '60s) and Simon Bell (who sang back-up for Dusty from the '70s through the '90s).
