Stacey, nata e cresciuta a Dallas, in Texas, ha frequentato la London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts nel Regno Unito e si è laureata in cinema presso la USC.

Tra i suoi crediti cinematografici, Cindy in The Great Buck Howard (2008), Amanda Bynes madre dentro Easy Girl (2010), Geoffrey Rush la moglie Bonnie nel film del fratello Coen Prima ti sposo, poi ti rovino (2003), Dana in Ghost World (2001), Barry Levinson film Bandits (2001) e Steven Soderbergh il film premio Oscar Traffic (2000).
